The North Carolina Golf Panel has honored Panther’s Run Golf Links at Ocean Ridge Plantation with inclusion in its statewide listing of “North Carolina’s Top 50 Courses You Can Play” for 2018.
Panther’s Run (No. 50) joins sister courses Leopard’s Chase Golf Links (No. 11) and Tiger’s Eye Golf Links (No. 13) in a prestigious collection of courses that’s topped by Pinehurst No. 2 and three of its sister courses at the world-renowned Pinehurst Resort.
Prior to this statewide listing, the North Carolina Golf Panel in 2016 ranked Panther’s Run at No. 5 in the state’s Coastal Region in its “Hidden Gems” category listing. Business North Carolina Magazine shared similar sentiments as recently as 2012, rating Panther’s Run No. 5 as well in its own listing of “Hidden Gems” for the same region – with an emphasis on honoring golf courses providing the best overall value for the money.
These honors add to an impressive list of superlatives bestowed upon Panther’s Run over the years, including being named among “Myrtle Beach’s Top 30” by Links Magazine and a “Top 100 Fairways” designation by Golf For Women Magazine. The clubhouse, which is shared with sister course Lion’s Paw Golf Links, has been named one of “America’s 100 Best Golf Shops” by Golf Shop Operations Magazine.
